Indian Team Manager. Olympics. Asian Games.
I-league. Entrepreneur. Go-Getter.
With over 27 years of rich experience as a football player, coach, manager, mentor and an entrepreneur, Eric’s passion for the beautiful game is legendary. During his stint as the Indian Football Team manager, he has proudly and very ably represented the tri-color at the Guanzhou Asian Games 2010 and at the Olympic qualifiers in 2011. His role and contribution to the national team earned Eric the reputation of being one of the country’s most successful and celebrated managers.
As the General Manager of All India Football Federation’s first professional football club in the I-League – Indian Arrows - Eric created history by building a strong and vibrant relationship with FC Metz, one of France’s top talent-nurturing football clubs. This unique and first-of-its-kind relationship gives Indian football players an unprecedented opportunity to train and play on European soil.
For Eric, Sports & Talent Management is much more than just bagging lucrative deals and contracts. It is about chasing and working on a dream together as a unit. As he points out, “My aim is to nurture talented footballers who are gifted athletes with a unique skill set and help them achieve what they believe in and dream about.”
Eric on Football
For Eric, his passion for the game is reflected in his singular sharp inclusive focus on the player in the field . “I strongly believe that young players in India could spend a lot more time on the training ground than they actually do. Player development should be the primary focus of coaching and the game should be made more accessible to players from all sections of the society.”
Our programs focus on working with and without the ball. We believe that all the four elements are at work in some form or the other. Our programs address all of these four elements, while identifying the emotional and tactical faculties of players who often require the longest gestation periods for maturation.
